First, a little bit about our community...The Great Escape is on private and spring-fed Robinson Lake. Our neighbors are kind, welcoming & considerate.
The lake is strictly for the use of non-motorized boats. It is stocked with trout for the purpose of keeping our lake clean. You are however encouraged to try your hand at catch and release with rods available to you in the shed.
You are also a short walk to the river. And just a few houses to electric bike rentals.
The Great Escape is a beautiful, newly refreshed (think everything new!) open concept country home, spotlessly clean, with two nicely appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. Plush bathrobes/slippers are provided along with hair dryers, flat irons and luxurious toiletries. The kitchen is bright, with a huge selection of herbs and spices, coffees and more. No need to rush to the grocery store, we will have all necessities for a basic meal and breakfast available to you. It is also fully equipped making your meal preparations a breeze.
There is a gas barbeque, should you prefer cooking outside. Having said that, you are on holidays so why not reserve the services of a private chef? With notice, this can be an easy compromise between going out to the restaurant but prefer relaxing in.
Summer months, you can enjoy your own private beach on a small, spring-fed lake with beautiful sunrises. The beach itself is clean and quiet. Comes complete with kayaks, paddle boards, peddle boat, fishing rods, floats & more.
The deck overlooking the lake is a wonderful place to sit, relax or eat. As well, a lovely wood burning firepit area can be enjoyed on chilly nights.
The colder months are warmed up with a cozy indoor wood burning fireplace, mood lighting and perhaps a lovely bottle of local wines available to you from our honor bar, or playing games.
Skiers & boarders will also appreciate the boot & glove dryer and laundry so you can start the next day all nice and dry!
