March House offers a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere, very comfortable accommodation in a very special location, within the tranquility of beautiful Glen Feshie.
Modern style open plan living and kitchen area, a central wood burning stove, oak floors and a spacious pine conservatory with large picture windows looking towards the mountains and sheltered from the North by Inshriach forest. It's an ideal place surounded by nature, wildlife, a red squirrel haven and birds to watch right from the window.
The wood burner, well seasoned logs provided, keeps the house warm and cosy in the winter and on cooler summer evenings and will bring everybody together to relax and unwind after a day in the hills, exploring or enjoying many of the local activities and attractions. For rainy days there is satellite TV, a DVD, stereo and wifi plus a big box of board games, puzzles and toys, an eclectic selection of books and an upright piano.
The kitchen is very well equipped for large groups and includes Neff cooker, ceramic hob, an extra large fridge freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, generous pots and pans, sharp knives and peeler, a Bialetti and Cafetieres for the coffee lovers, plus a liquidiser and whisks. Eco detergents, dishwasher tabs, cloths and scourers are all provided.
The hallway with colourful cloakroom has space to store footwear and hang outdoor gear over a radiator and leads upstairs to all the 5 comfortable bedrooms. They are bright and all have beautiful views over the open countryside. Refurbished with antique pine, new oak, luxury soft furnishings, two of the bedrooms have king sized beds, two zip and link singles that are flexible to become super kings and a children's room with bunks and twin beds. Three have smart and generous en-suite shower rooms plus there's a large shared fully tiled shower room on the landing and all have heated towel rails. Quality linen, down duvets, large fluffy bath sheets and hand made soaps are provided.(during covid we have provided special liquid handwash)
With only the sound of the wind in the trees the garden has a lawn, mature Scots pine trees, enjoying extensive 360 views of the mountains, forest and glen, and a large play area for children. There are plenty of feeders and bird boxes to encourage bird life including timorous woodpeckers, nesting fly catchers in spring early summer, rare crested tits, tree creepers and the playful antics of red squirrels. Along the whispering mountain you can watch golden eagles soaring and a short walk away there is a breeding pair of ospreys. Brown hare are plentiful and pine martens, badgers and roe deer also make the occasional visit. Garden furniture for 12 allows for alfresco dining and the charcoal BBQ is available all year. Fire pit also available on request.

In the very heart of the Invereshie and Inshriach National Nature Reserve with endless outdoor activities and adventures nearby and the natural heritage of Badenoch and Strathspey, there is plenty to explore; From the door there are extensive paths for walking, cycling and skiing in winter, all off-road through the forests down for a dip in the Feshie River, with extensive re-wilding upriver on the estate; Weekend gliding in Glen Feshie at one of the UK's top mountain sites; Frank Bruce Sculpture Trail is down at Feshiebridge within a beautiful wall garden; The Watersport and ski Centre with cafe and restaurant overlooking Loch Inch is just 2 miles away; The Old Post Office gallery and cafe is in the village of Kincraig, as well as the Suie pub with live music on a Thursday evening; Just along the road from Kincraig is the Highland Wildlife Park where a second baby polar bear has just been born, plus Scottish wildlife and endangered animals of the world’s mountains and tundra areas, all within it's beautiful Highland setting; Rothiemurchus and Alvie estates offer adventure for all with quad bikes, Tree zone, high wire, fishing, pony trekking, clay shooting to name but a few; Aviemore has great shopping possibilities; 6 golf courses within 15 miles; The Cairngorm Mountain for skiing, hill walking and mountain views (heated ski store under the stairs in winter); Superb off road mountain bike trails, (covered bike area available); Landmark Forest Adventure Park is in Carrbridge; The Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore is Britain’s first open air museum and a journey into the past and also the filmset for the TV series Outlander; Many RSPB bird reserves including Insh Marches with breeding ospreys at Kincraig and Loch Garten; Also within easy reach of the whisky trail and local castles and gardens and the Moray coast for dolphins and extensive beaches.
