The Reef C our "Casa Contenta" is a bright, spacious beachfront condo, located in the middle of Akumal's Half Moon Bay. This condo features unobstructed views of the Caribbean. HMB is sheltered (by the 2nd largest reef in the world!) stretch of coastline on the Caribbean Sea. This bay is known for world class snorkeling & small town tranquility. The water here is clear, calm & shallow, which makes it easy to appreciate the coral reef & its amazing array of marine life & of course chance to swim with the Turtles! Our double sliding doors open onto a private terrace & garden. Follow the landscaped walkway & it will lead you directly to the sun loungers, (extra 2 loungers on Unit C patio), property palapa's, surf & white sand. (If your area shows Pricing/rates shown with C is in Canadian dollars, not USD). Minutes walk to 2 famous beach restaurants; La Lunita & La Buena Vida. With a short walk to many other restaurants, shopping, grocery, crafts, eco centre, dive shops, yoga, massage, Akumal Bay & Yal-Ku lagoon. 1 hour drive from Cancun airport, 25 minutes from Playa Del Carmen & 20 minutes to funky Tulum. We offer the best of service & comfort with many many amenities for you to enjoy. Our condo has an open plan layout, full well equipped kitchen, places to lounge or relax. Sleeps 1-4 guests - 1 bedroom with a king size bed & 1 matrimonial/double bed (in the common space) overlooking the walk out terrace. Both have sea views. Included linens, beach towels, beach chairs, beach tent, snorkels, water shoes & other handy amenities too numerous to mention. Daily maid service, wi-fi, bottled water, small flat screen TV, DVD, books, games, air conditioner (although not required with those sea breezes!) & Free parking in front of condo, steps from unit. Guests have access to the entire apartment & private terrace. Sunrise over the sea is spectacular from the terrace, sunset over the jungle/mangrove equally lovely -view from the condo roof patio. Update fyi: As of June 2020 there is a new Global Safety Stamp that has been implemented & designed to help rebuild consumer confidence worldwide. The WTCC safe travel protocols were developed in collaboration with the WHO, Centers for DC & Prevention,and the International Air/Cruise Transport Associations. Quintana Roo Mexico is one of the first destinations to receive this certification. Further to this the Thermal imaging, temperature taking, questionnaire & other protocols are now in place at Cancun Airport. We are now following a new strict enhanced/disinfecting cleaning protocol (based on CDC guidelines, Ecolab & US Surgeon General, & Mexican requirements) maid service will be set up with each guest when they check in - the minimum occurrence will be every other day if needed. There is now a 48 hour gap minimum between reservations, no exceptions, this would apply to last minute reservations as well to allow for this new extensive strict cleaning/disinfecting protocol. Additional protocols in place will include hand sanitizer in the unit, a sanitizing mat for shoes at the door with staff refilling it with sanitizing product. Guests are required to travel with face masks, however if guests require additional masks they are available at the front desk for a minimal charge. We request & require guests follow local protocols in place and social distancing. The location of this property (a stand alone condo with only 6 units) allows for privacy, and room to self distance even if other guests are in residence. There is a small grocery store within walking distance or grocery &/or restaurant door to door safe delivery service available should you choose to not leave the property or the privacy of your terrace or beachfront!
