This villa design is inspired by the Balinese style of living. It is an inviting and peaceful space with quiet nooks to enjoy the tropical scenery while enjoying a favorite book. Couple that with comfortable gathering spaces for quality time with loved ones and you have the perfect vacation spot. The 8-seat raised dining area has the ocean and rainforest as a backdrop, creating a leisurely dining experience. The home stays cool from the ocean breezes and cathedral open beamed ceilings with ceiling fans. Local materials such as ceramics and bamboo are used throughout the villa, including custom built-in cabinets and handcrafted tiles. Casa Dolce Vita is a tropical retreat to delight the senses.

Summary: We had a fantastic four-night stay at Casa Dolce Vita in February 2025. Overall, it met or exceeded our expectations. Wonderful interactions with three species of monkeys and some great bird watching made it truly memorable.The breeze on the open-air third level generally kept it a comfortable temperature. (There were some mosquitoes around dusk, but not so many that it interfered with our use of the house, especially when we kept lighting to a reasonable minimum and the ceiling fans on.) We got consistently prompt responses from the hosts and they came to deal with the few issues that arose. We were pleasantly surprised to find that daily maid- and laundry-service were included in our rental rate.There were a few things in the listing that were misleading – the washer and dryer in the house aren’t accessible to renters, the pool, while very refreshing, has ceased to function as an “Infinity” pool, for example. We didn’t realize just how many steps there are up to the house. And then, inside the house, all staircases are spiral; takes some getting used to. There were some maintenance issues that needed to be dealt with, probably because no one had bothered to report them before; the rental management was eager to address them, which is all you can ask!All in all, we highly recommend Casa Dolce Vita.Pura Vida!
