'The Shana Residences' are a luxury condominium complex in Manuel Antonio, nestled amid the lush rainforest of Punta Quepos. Shana Residences #310 has some of the best ocean views and location in the entire resort, and overlooks the pool area. The condo is well-appointed with high-end furniture and furnishings, including all of the details that one would love at their home away from home.
The living area, dining area and kitchen all communicate with each other, and with a fantastic outdoor covered balcony--which is the perfect spot to relax after a day of fun activity. The master bedroom has a king bed, a queen sofa bed, a large walk-through closet and huge bathroom. The guest bedroom also has a king bed, walk-through closet and large bathroom. Every detail provides the maximum comfort--from the mattresses, sheets and duvets--to the familiar coziness of the kitchen.
The Shana Resort is located in what is perhaps the most pristine and tranquil area of Manuel Antonio. It is located just minutes from the main public beach, Manuel Antonio National Park (one of Forbes magazine's '12 most beautiful national parks of the world'!), and main public beach (Playa Espadilla). There is also a beautiful cove beach just 8 minutes walk away along a private trail- Playa Biesanz, where the waves are smaller and you can rent beach chairs, kayaks and paddle boards.
The Shana has it all: a huge family pool and Jacuzzi, adult pool & bar, sunning terraces with day beds, a contemporary lounge area, restaurant, and 24 hour security. There is also a private gym on the premises (not included but very affordable). You can even hire your own chef, or have a massage therapist come directly to your condo!

Summary: Great home base for Manuel Antonio. We stayed 5 days and had a blast! Vanessa, the concierge, arranged all of our excursions. We enjoyed the 10 in 1 excursion as well as Chorro river rafting with Amigos del Rio. We spent a morning with a wonderful guide, Mia, at the park, had masseuses come by the condo for one of the best couple’s massages ever and went on a 3/4 day fishing trip where we caught a sailfish and yellow fin tuna. We did not rent a car and found it easy to get taxis for 10-15 dollars each way. We hiked up the hill one time for breakfast at Emilio’s Cafe which I highly recommend for breakfast and dinner. They cooked our tuna for us one night and my husband said it was the best meal of his life! Keep in mind if you walk, it is very hilly and steep. You need to be in fairly good shape. We ate at Ronny’s Place, Aqua Azul, and had Chef Michael come prepare a delicious local meal one night. All meals were delicious. The beach is on a trail behind the condo and is walkable. The waves were calm and there are chairs (20) and kayaks you can rent. Boats come right out by the beach to snorkel. We didn’t snorkel, but several people said it is a great snorkel spot. The people are all friendly and helpful. Quit waiting and book this trip!
