This delightfully spacious luxury apartment offers breathtaking and ever changing views from panoramic windows over the beautiful Waimea Inlet and neighbouring mountains. Set in peaceful, mature parkland gardens, the Cowdrey Suite at Applewood borders the estuary. The inviting outdoor swimming pool sits close to the shoreline. The apartment has a modern and fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge. There is a separate bedroom with large ensuite bathroom. On the many sunny days the outside balcony allows guests to enjoy meals outside.
Applewood is set in 2.2 acres of mature (mainly native) trees, shrubs and ferns. The first floor Cowdrey Suite is a luxurious home away from home. The King size bed has high thread count linens, duvet and memory foam pillows. Other useful items include a safe, iron and ironing board. The luxury tiled bathroom has underfloor heating, heated towel rail, mirror demister, hairdryer and quality organic toiletries.
The kitchen is equipped with a full oven, dishwasher, microwave, full size refrigerator, kettle toaster, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, champagne flutes and wine glasses.
The lounge has a flat screen TV, DVD player and free WIFI (limited bandwidth) for guests. The heat pump will keep you warm in winter. The outside balcony has a breakfast table and chairs. There is a good selection of teas and ground coffee.

Guests are invited to discover the hidden pathways, seating areas and gazebo in the extensive garden, listening to the birdsong in this peaceful place. The Waimea Estuary borders the property so that you can stroll down to our shoreline and jetty. And of course, the swimming pool (in season) is only meters from the estuary.

We are the proud owners of this beautiful property and our home is in the main house. The Cowdrey Suite is a completely independent apartment with its own entrance occupying a beautifully elevated position. You will be able to let yourself in and be at home if we are not around. On most occasions our very friendly Maremma dog will probably be there to greet you. We would like you to enjoy your privacy.
Other things to note
The Inlet is tidal and offers great opportunities for birdwatching and photography. The play of light as the tide covers the estuary is delightful.
