The Space:
Apartment Sol boasts a large 75m2 private terrace which takes full advantage of the amazing sea views. Situated in a perfect location just a few meters away from Centeanes beach and within walking distance of the village of Carvoeiro with its variety of restaurants, cafes and shops. The entrance door leads through a hallway to the open-plan living /dining area with fully fitted kitchen. The living room includes TV and WiFi with sliding doors leading to the large terrace with comfy seating and bar area perfect for alfresco dining, relaxing and sunbathing. Both double bedrooms have sea views and fitted wardrobes, the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, the 2nd double bedroom has an adjacent bathroom.
The apartment is airconditioned throughout.
Cot and highchair are available upon request.
The property is perfect for families, however, due to the low walls on the terrace, not recommended for active toddlers.
Carvoeiro is a fishing village halfway along the Algarve coast, about 45 minutes from Faro Airport. Over the last 15 years, grown to be a sizeable holiday resort. However, it has not lost the intrinsic charm of the place, as the development has been sympathetically done, keeping to low-rise buildings in the traditional Algarvian style. This cosmopolitan resort has a wide selection of restaurants and bars, a few night clubs, boutiques, banks, chemist, local facilities and fantastic beaches.
Tourist Tax came into force on 13 April 2024, in accordance with Regulation no. 425/2024, published in Diário da República no. 72 of 12/04/2024. The tourist tax charge is €2 per night during the high season (April to October) and €1 during the rest of the year (November to March) per person, up to a maximum of seven straight nights for all tourists aged 13 or older. The tax is to be paid either prior or upon arrival.

Summary: This was a new property for the company when we rented. The check in process was quite confusing and some details were not clear, but I believe that was in part because it is a new property, after speaking with the managers, this will likely improve in the future. Besides a somewhat confusing check in, our stay was otherwise wonderful. The view is as pictured - beautiful and perfect for sunsets. Our host was very responsive to any questions or concerns, and was quick to help with the confusing check in process when we called. The location is prime, with spectacular views, and easy access to the seven hanging valleys hiking trail as well as the Carvoeiro boardwalk, and of course a lovely beach. Several restaurants are within walking distance. We spent 6 days here, and never had to get in the car to eat or grocery shop - just for day trips to Lagos and Benagil. Easy parking regardless of car size. Heads up, the water heater is rather small, so short showers may be necessary in colder weather.
