Summary: You cannot beat the view from this ilikai Marina condo !! The sun sets every night directly in front of you while sitting on the balcony overlooking the serene boats in the Marina coming back after the day. You can see sea turtles in the water. And one morning we were treated to a huge double rainbow extending from the ocean to Honolulu. You can also see the airplanes taking off and landing at the airport but it's far enough away so there is no noise heard from them. On Friday nights, the Hilton puts on an amazing fireworks show from their beach Laguna which is absolutely perfect viewing from the balcony of the condo. While the balcony is small, there is enough room for 2 chairs. The bed is comfortable and the condo has all the essentials for a great stay for cooking and a whole closet full of beach chairs and other equipment. The location of the ilikai Marina condo is perfect for exploring the Waikiki area on foot. Ala Moana Mall and park are a short walk away. While at the mall, a must stop is the Jade Dynasty restaurant for New York City style dim sum. There are just a few items that we wished could be updated. The shower is small and if the glass door was removed and a curved shower curtain put in it's place, that would solve that problem. Also in these days of streaming, a smart TV would be a big plus. A booklet explaining the working of the apartment (the dining room fan switch is on the side of the kitchen counter) and suggestions for the area would be nice. It would have been a 5 star review if there had been a more thorough cleaning (especially of the floors) prior to our arrival. That said, we would love to stay here again when we are next on Oahu.
