4 Bedroom Condo in Los Alias, ALMERIA
Situated in a quiet rural hamlet near Sorbas, in the region of Andalucia, Almeria Spain and nestled beneath the craggy cliffs of an ancient fossil reef, are the villages and hamlets of Cariatiz. Our restored Cortijo is situated in the tiny, sleepy hamlet that is Los Josefos. Here our neighbors still bake bread in the traditional domed bread oven and farm almonds like generations before them.
Los Josefos is a short walk from the white painted village square of Los Alias. There you will find a small geological museum, Church and a tiny village school.
The square also serves as the school playground, meeting place and venue of the village s three day fiesta at the end of August.
Set amongst tranquil almond, olive, orange and lemon trees one of the first things you will notice is the clearness of the air. Almost the only sounds that can be heard are those of the bird song and goats bells.
At Almond Reef, we can offer you all the facilities you require for a relaxing and sociable stay, in a lovely location and in a beautiful and unspoiled area of rural Spain.
The property has large lounge/dinner, well equipped kitchen and utility room, also on the ground floor there is Bedroom four, which is a small double with an adjacent shower room. Through the lounge there is a bar area to stairs up to Bedroom one, the family bedroom which sleeps 4, adjacent is the shower room. Bedroom two is the sunny rooms this is two connecting rooms, the outer room sleeps two with a door through to the main bedroom with large double bed or 2 singles and en-suite shower room. Bedroom 3 sleeps two in a large double or 2 singles. For families with infants we have a baby bath, 2 cots, 2 high chairs, a microwave sterilizer (and dare I mention there is also a potty).
There is a small upstairs kitchen, with fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, sink and equipped with all the usual utensils.
Small door to the upper terraces and stairs to the pretty garden where there are shaded areas, a large outside stone dining table, original bread oven and BBQ, ideal for alfresco dining during the long summer nights.
Situated in the Spanish countryside you can relax around our plunge pool enjoying a long cool drink and let the world go by whilst topping up your tan or get involved in the may out door pursuits available in the area.

This is a great base for exploring the rich wildlife, birds and flora of eastern Andalucia.
Because of its rural location and because it is at the foot of the Sierra de Los Filabres many birds and flowers can be seen in the immediate vicinity. There are also a number of diverse habitats to explore on easy day trips. The only true desert in Europe at Tabernas, high mountains of the Sierra Nevada and coastal salt lagoons, steppe and volcanic hills of Cabo de Gata are just a few.
