Nothing can beat the chill vibes at Jahazi House. Nestled on Kizingoni Beach, this cute African gem is accessible by boat only. It is more of a private hideaway with fewer tourists. This is a typical Swahili house. Traditional design and unparalleled
culinary experience meet at the shaded bar of the beautiful makuticovered veranda. What can be more lovely than sitting here and enjoying a delicious meal, while watching the exotic dhows come and go. And never miss the fun of the private swimming pool in the serene courtyard. Frangipani, jasmine and lime trees have been planted in abundance around the house, which comes fully staffed with a cook, room/table steward, laundress, boat captain and gardener.
No cars, no roads. No one is on the beach other than guests and the very occasional local or house staff. The traffic on the island is mostly about you and the donkeys.
Shela and Lamu towns are but a boat ride away. A dhow is available to hire for sundowners, lunch on a beach or day trip and can be arranged by Ali, your house manager.
