This fantastic 18th century croft is located in the lovely Småland countryside. Here you can experience the Swedish summer as taken from Astrid Lindgren's books. The cottage is red with white knots and is beautifully situated in rural surroundings with woodland at the knot. The owners have chosen to preserve as much of the house as possible and it can be seen on the charming inside of the house. The ceiling is a little lower (ca. 2 m) and the old wooden floors are preserved. However, the kitchen and bathroom are up to date and have all the amenities you need, the bathroom was renovated as late as 2021. It is a large cottage with room for up to ten people. The owners themselves spend most of their time in the glazed conservatory where you can enjoy long summer evenings. If you want to be outside, there are outdoor groups on both sides of the house so you can sit in the sun / shade as you wish. On the first floor you have a kitchen, bathroom, living room and 2 bedrooms with single beds in. One of which is also used as a TV room as a TV is there. Upstairs, up a relatively steep staircase, are the rest of the sleeping areas. There are 2 bedrooms with a double bed plus a single bed in and a room with a bunk bed. The house is perfect for the large family or maybe two families traveling together. If you want to do more than enjoy the fantastic surroundings, you can get to Välenbadets camping 7 km away which has a cozy swimming area, as well as a kiosk and simple restaurant. You are also close to the glass kingdom and cities such as Oskarshamn and Kalmar.
