The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton where rare species of birds can be seen nesting affords stunning coastal views. Historic homes and halls are easily accessed with Burton Agnes Hall boasting a large Monet and Renoir art collection, Sewerby Hall and Gardens and a little further away is Castle Howard. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is easily accessed and a visit to Dalby Forest, home to the world mountain bike event is a must boasting picnic areas and a host of family events including Go Ape, cycle tracks for all ages and throughout the summer time there are live concerts and some very well known artists perform.
