5 person holiday home in VAREKIL | House in VAREKIL

2 Bedroom House in Varekil
Lovely and rustic home in a former stable, with a partial sea view and full of peace location on the beautiful Rossö Peninsula in Orust. Perfectly suited for families who want to live in a rural environment with proximity to salty baths and walking areas. The stable building is located on a former farm dating back to the 19th century in connection to both nature reserves and birdwatching sites. The residence was completely renovated tastefully and personally in 2013, where care was taken on old beams, timber, bricks etc. At the entrance you have a newly built balcony with lovely evening sun where you have view of the neid and the Stigfjorden. On the entrance floor there is a hall and a bathroom with a shower cabin where the owner has decorated the ceiling with his old vinyl records. Half a flight of stairs down (low ceiling by the stairs) is the bar kitchen and bedroom in what was the former stable. Here, much of the stable feeling remains with stable stalls and untreated poured concrete floor in fine harmony with the personal interior details. The bar kitchen has a mini-oven with two hotplates and an extra gas stove. Bright bedroom with open stable entrance (no door) and three single beds that function as sofas with cushions during the day. A perfect bedroom/family room for children and young people who want to live a bit to themselves. Upstairs is the spacious, bright living room with high ceilings and exposed beams. Here there is plenty of room for the whole family in both the sofa corner and around the dining table. In a cozy alcove screened off with drapery, there is a comfortable double bed. When it comes to technology, there is most of what you could wish for in the home. Both WiFi, music system, and DVD. You live very idyllically with grazing cows and sheep in the pastures and walking distance to Rossö's nice swimming area with rocks, jetty, bathing ladder and jumping tower. You dispose of your own part of owner's large plot with lawn for play and games. Take the opportunity to hike in the nature reserve on Rossö. Here there are nice walking areas consisting of oak groves and meadows. The adjacent bay is a popular birdwatching spot with good chances of seeing both eagles and waders. Here are also excellent fishing waters for mackerel and trout. Experience the archipelago and the fishing villages around Orust. Take the ferry to them picturesque islands of Käringön and Gullholmen. Are you interested in shopping, you should not miss a visit to Göksäter with the bargain store Arvid Eriksson in only a few minutes by car. Summer in Orust offers many activities – festivals, kayaking, diving, fishing, play golf or just enjoy the silence and the beautiful nature. The owner has a garage in part of the stable building which is accessed from the yard side. The residential part has no visibility from the other buildings on the farm. A minor road with very little traffic passes in front of the house. Welcome to an original and exciting home with a great location on beautiful Rossö!
