Welcome to a cozy cottage located in the middle of the scenic "Bakvattnet" with a lake view from the balcony. From here you can explore everything the area has to offer, for example a refreshing dip in Ansättåns Canyon, enjoy a good coffee in a farmhouse environment, hike in scenic mountains or try your luck with a fishing rod. It is approx. 5 kilometers to Ansättfjällen, where many people with a taste for nature experiences, outdoor life and tranquility go. Regardless of the season, there is much to see, do and experience in the area. The cabin is partly renovated 2022. The cabin has a kitchen, living room with sofa bed and TV. There are two bedrooms, one room with a bunk bed and in the other bedroom a double bed. Two bathrooms, one with WC and wash basin and the other with shower and wash basin. Next to the cabin on the property is a guest cabin with a sauna and relax area for those who want to enjoy some relaxation. Balcony with roof and outdoor furniture, there is a barbecue available. The lake Bakvattnet is located in the small mountain village of Bakvattnet along county road 689 in the municipality of Krokom, approx. 11 miles NW of Östersund. You get the beautiful view of Ansättfjällen in the bargain when you fish from a boat, a popular lake among fishermen in the lake you get trout and char. Boats are rented on site. Bathing spots and the possibility of bathing are everywhere thanks to the rich availability of lakes and watercourses. When you think the temperature has become suitable for swimming, you can swim at one of our waterfalls or visit Gunnarvattnet's playa with a really child-friendly and shallow sandy beach. Grill your sausage or boil your coffee over an open fire at some of our rest areas with barbecue areas and shelters located at many lakes, ponds and streams. In Ansättfjällen you can hike among countless forests, lakes, ponds, streams, rivers and mountains, in one of all our nature reserves, on marked trails, go flower hiking along the Blomsterleden up to the mountain Ansätten. Here, they like to serve locally produced food and highlight the genuine Jämtland, sometimes with venison as a specialty. For the coffee-hungry, there are several donut places, often with home-baked "mugs" on the barrel and in unusual environments, for example a farmhouse embankment where the cows graze peacefully. Or why not fill your backpack with goodies and enjoy a cup of hot coffee at the foot of the mountain.
