Are you searching for a quiet, calm get away where there are breathtaking views and comfortable surroundings? Then you have found this and more in this newly built (2024) home called Turtle Cove!
Just a short walk to Cape Palms Park across the street and you are on the beach! This area offers a covered picnic area and seating in a gazebo with a beach view. You can also access public restrooms.
You don’t have time to pack a picnic? No worries or inconvenience. Leave all your beach gear and head back to the house where you can whip up a quick lunch and sit on the porch while you relax and feel the ocean breeze.
After lunch enjoy a swim in the pool or take a nap in one of the 4 bedrooms. The ground floor is a great place for privacy and quiet with a king size bed. It would be great if you have small children. Space would allow for a portable crib.
On the second floor, there are 3 more bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king size bed, private bath with shower and a walk-in closet. The other bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub and shower. One of the bedrooms is a bunk room that sleeps 6. The other bedroom has a queen bed. The master bedroom and queen bedroom have a porch with a swing; a great sitting area for playing games.
The 3rd floor is the hub of the home. The kitchen/living room space has an awesome panorama. While cooking in the well stocked kitchen, you see the bay. While eating dinner, you can watch a beautiful sunset over the water. If you're just too relaxed from the day’s events, an elevator is available to take you down to your room for sweet dreams of your next day’s adventure on the beach or on the bay fishing!
Ample parking is available so bring your fishing boat. St. Joseph State Park, located 2 miles north of Turtle Cove is a convenient location to launch your boat for the day. You can also enjoy the scenery of another beach access surrounded by a mountain of sandy dunes.

Summary: We enjoyed our week here. It is close to the walkway for the beach. The pool was nice in the hot July weather. The house was clean. It appears to be full time rental rather than someone’s part time home as kitchen was a little sparse. There were no hangers in closet (not a big deal, just sparse). The downstairs room was hot compared to rest of house, not sure if AC working on main floor where my husband and I stayed. The other rooms on second floor and the third floor living space stayed cool. The decks face west so sunset was good on nights without clouds. A lot of beach houses we have stayed have chairs to take to beach, but this one does not. We ended up renting. The biggest disappointment was having our beach shade stolen from the beach. It seemed like a safe area and many others would leave their shades up since they are a lot of work to set up. Sadly ours and others got taken. Because you are close to the public walkway, the trade off is that the beach was very busy in that area so we had to walk a ways down the beach with it being a busy week.
