From the village, with its distillery and restaurant, you can take the short ferry trip to Claonaig and explore Kintyre with ferries to the islands of Islay, Jura and Gigha all easily accessible.

There are mystical standing stones, a prehistoric burial site, a Viking burial mound and the natural cavern known as King’s Cave which inspired Robert the Bruce.
