This ancient Eden Valley village is crossed by the coast to coast walk and cycle route and there is a wealth of pre historic settlements within the area. The local community owned pub has a good ambience and serves excellent food. Situated four miles east of the M6, the location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Eden Valley and the Lake District National Park. The Northumberland and Scottish borders plus the Yorkshire Dales are all within an hours drive. The nearby market towns of Appleby and Penrith provide a good selection of shops and local amenities including fishing and leisure centres.
