2 Bedroom House in Gleneagle, Colorado Springs
Location is key when Visiting your Air Force Academy cadet or the Olympic Museum, Training Center, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, WWII Museum of Aviation, the Cheyenne Zoo or zipping up to Denver for a game or concert...or taking in Sunset Amphitheater's Musical Guests. Just 2.6 mi (8-9 minutes) to USAFA North gate!!! Comfort is key, too.... and you'll have King Sized Tempur-pedic beds to make sure you are well rested & ready for your adventure. Trailheads with breathtaking views are just a 3 minute walk down our cul de sac street. Downtown COS and visitor attractions are just 15-20 min south, Castle Rock outlet stores are just 25 minutes north and Denver airport is an easy 55 minute commute. You may find something cheaper... but certainly nothing more comfortable.
This well appointed lower level of our home also has a THIRD KING BEDROOM AVAILABLE (just let us know if you need to reserve it, too) and the roomy over-sized sectional couch can comfortably sleep 2 more tall adults, if needed. Every door is 36'' wide so maneuvering thru' the walk-out basement apartment is easy. An oversized walk-in shower and double vanity make getting ready easy-peasy and the kitchenette makes it convenient to eat in, or at the private outdoor seating area, if you prefer. Your secluded PRIVATE entrance in this beautiful and safe neighborhood is accessed via a 4 foot wide sidewalk, parking is to the side in our private driveway.
This guest suite has just been built out and is pristine. It has been decorated with your comfort in mind, with 1st class appointments and a nod to our USAF. Some of it may seem over-the top, but we hope our guests will want to make this their "go-to" when visiting COS again.
Being just across the street from the USAF Academy, you can see it and enjoy the flyovers, and Pikes Peak is something to behold!
*** This property was originally built and lived in, by a pilot in the Luftwaffe!!!! Walter Boehner left behind some memorabilia that led us to research his history, and we found a display about him and his journey from Germany, through France & the UK to become a pilot in the USAF, and an honored flight instructor at the USAFA. He wrote a book about it... "In Defiance". Check it out!* **
