The beach and surrounding coves are frequented by breeding seals and their pups, while boat trips for nearby New Quay depart daily in the summer months to glimpse Cardigan Bay’s famous bottlenose dolphins.

4 miles in the opposite direction, Llangrannog offers a lovely, sheltered cove popular with families, and has great rock pools with the famous Carreg Bica rock (Devils Tooth) dividing its two sandy beaches at low tide. The village has two pubs, two café/restaurants, and a general store.
