I am an owner of highly desired red week in the 4-story Westwind building of the Wyndham Newport Onshore resort in Newport RI. You cannot find a better location in Newport with all the amenities included for a family or friends who want to make the most of trip to historic Newport to end the summer the right way. The Westwind building juts out onto the spectacular Newport harbor and has the most incredible harbor view to enjoy at all times of the day, including the sunset. You are literally right above the gorgeous yachts in the harbor looking down at them from your spacious front balcony where you can sit at outdoor table with chairs and enjoy your meals and beverages, or just read the daily newspaper that is provided at the lobby. There is also a back balcony with views of the boats in the harbor. Send me a email thru VRBO and I can send you back additional photos of Westwind and the unit you would be renting. There are 2 Bedrooms, larger living room with a fireplace and sofa that pulls out to a comfortable queen bed (not flimsy), two very spacious waterview balconies, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchens, washer, dryer, and 2 prime parking spots next to the unit. With the 2 bedrooms (one bedroom has two single beds and the other has a king bed) and the sofa bed, 6 people can sleep comfortably in beds. There is plenty of room in the unit to add air beds or other sleeping apparatus to fit up to 8.
The onsite amenities and indoor and outdoor pool with free towels provided by the Wyndham staff at the onsite lobby. The pools are surrounded by a fenced in private yard overlooking the harbor where you can use provided outdoor grills, tables and chairs to cook and sit down, eat your food and enjoy beverages. There is also a sauna and workout room, and a gated parking lot with 2 free parking spaces close to your unit. The location is very secure. There is locked entrance way accessible via your room key only where a private elevator and stairway exists to access your 2nd floor unit.
The kitchens, flooring, bathrooms, furniture, paint and fireplaces are all updated in 2020. Inquire if you want to stay less than a week or the whole week. I am flexible and can adjust rates accordingly.
