Woodbox Retreat is a stylish, comfortable, 2 bedroom house in the township of Healesville ( Dogs welcome) Sitting on a large block, with vistas of green and glimpses of mountains. The cosy house offers a peaceful getaway in the heart of the Yarra Valley. Inside the emphasis is on comfort and relaxation. A comfy leather couch, wool throws, warm colours and wood furniture in open plan living, with lots of windows and high ceilings. Central heating ensures a cosy hideway for winter escapes. Air- conditioners in living area and portable air conditioner in main bedroom and ceiling fans for summer. ,T.V., D.V.D player, Stereo, Wifi, books, magazines and games to help unwind. An oversized bathroom, is contemporary in design and has a spa bath. Local soaps, shampoo and conditioner and quality towels are supplied for your use. The kitchen, with double doors on to the balcony ( kettle BBQ and outdoor dining) is filled with quality pans and utensils: everthing a good, or budding cook, needs. Fresh ground coffee, organic tea, muesli, oil, salt and pepper are supplied. Coffee Machine, electric oven with gas burners, microwave, dishwasher and full size fridge. The main bedroom has a king bed, the 2nd bedroom a queen. Both are set with quality linen and down quilts. The Studio is perfect for couples, friends and small families (High chair and port-a-cot available) Please let me know if you are travelling with little ones as the full rates for extra guests is not applied and reduced for longer stays. An enclosed garden and verandahs in the sun and shade, means the pooch can come too. Conditions apply. (Please supply number of pets and breed) Please note the house does not have a washing machine. We made the bathroom bigger in renovations as most of guests are after short stays. There is a good laundromat in town and the house has drying wracks THINGS TO DO Stroll a country lane to a neighbouring winery, or tour cool climate wineries, the region is famous for. Close to great dining at Healesville Hotel and walking distance to Giant Steps. Visit Tarrawarra Museum A central base for many concerts, festivals and weddings in theYarra Valley Venture on bush walks in National parks with majestic Mountain Ash and giant ferns, minutes from your door. Or visit the Healesville Sanctuary and meet the wildlife. Take the kids for a swim in the Yarra River in Warburton and eat awesome woodfired pizza at Little Joe (30 mins away) or visit Hegend maze or take a trolley ride The snow at Lake Mountain or Mt Donna Buang is an hour away.
