1 min walk River, fishing platforms for surfcasting
3 min drive to boat ramp to go for a awsome days fishing
5 min walk River mouth North mole, next to Castlecliff beach great for short and long walks, goes to domain where patrolled swimming between flags is available during summer.
3 min drive is four square, takeaway, pub, club, doctor, chemist, petrol, hairdresser, bakery.
5 min drive is Castlecliff golf club and bowling club
7 min drive is Springvale park and Splash centre for swimming/sauna/gym
7 min drive is City, info centre, shopping, paddle steamer, Saturday river market, cool museum, art and class gallery, cafes, kowhai park, Durie hill tower, Virginia lake.....list goes on and many are reasonably priced or no fee......lot less than the big cities !!
