Summary:
Welcome to Winnipeg's Iconic Tree House and one of Canada's finest architectural gems. The house, designed by renowned Canadian architect Gustavo da Roza (Winnipeg Art Gallery), is known as the 'tree house' or 'glass house', and the second floor living area, hovering in the trees, is a truly exceptional experience.
The Space:
Staying in this midcentury home is like staying in a work of art. Each room of this house will connect you with nature and leave you feeling refreshed and inspired. A retreat in the city, located on the river on one of Winnipeg's most exclusive streets, this gated home with an oversized yard is located close to parks, and a short drive from South Osbourne.
This 2,000 sq ft, 2 bedroom home is unlike any place you've experienced. On the main floor entry, there's a spiral staircase and elevator which lead to the main level. The home is open concept, with two living areas, a gourmet
kitchen, screened porch (with a Weber grill), floor to ceiling glass and 2.5 washrooms (even a bidet for those of you who are adventurous!). Oversized skylights provide additional light. There is a third sleeping area in a storage room shared with laundry (each sleeping area has a queen bed). The home is furnished with a mix of designer and vintage pieces (original to the home).
The home is wheelchair accessible (ramp at entrance, elevator, lowered light switches).
