Welcome to our new cozy VRBO getaway. The guest house sits on our 6 acres with another 10+ open acres behind, with it's own driveway and is very private. We have a modest ranch with goats, chickens, dogs, and hopefully horses very soon.
You will be minutes to several award winning wineries, El Dorado National Forest, gorgeous rivers, Sly Park recreational area, ~1 hour to South Lake Tahoe & Kirkwood, amazing hiking, boating, fly fishing, and historic downtown Placervillle.
Dogs OK: $60/stay
We lived in the guest house for about 8 months with our two dogs and cat while we fully renovated the main house which is down the hill. It was great for us, so we know it will be a wonderful place for anyone that gets to use it.
The home features a gourmet kitchen, large living area, a dining space, and a porch with outstanding views all 4 seasons. There are two bedrooms - a large master where we added a second bed for groups that come up for girls/guys weekends, or multiple families. The cozy second bedroom features a queen bed with great views of the wooded landscape. There is a full bathroom for both rooms to share. The main living space has two window AC units, and each bedroom does as well (although the house stays fairly cool most of the time). For winter, the house has a very efficient central heating unit.
Outside we have a grill, with a delightful outdoor living space blanketed in shady oak and pine tree's. We have another open space for cornhole or for your dogs to play. We do suggest keeping dogs on a leash as the property is not yet fenced, although we hope to do so in the next 6-12 months. There is plenty of parking in the driveway and a garage for a single car, truck, or SUV.
Below the main living quarters we do have some extra space connected to the garage. Because it is not connected to the upstairs space we did not officially list it, but you are welcome to use it to your heart's content. This space does stay very cool in the summer without the use of any AC units. There is a large living area with what will eventually be a bar and game area, a 3rd bedroom (not yet furnished, but you're welcome to bring an air mattress and sleeping bag), laundry area, and a 2nd full bathroom.
Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the vast array of birds, my neighbors sheep, our goats, hens and roosters. It is always the highlight of my mornings to hear the animals wake up as I sip that first cup of coffee.

Summary: A group of us (6 large men) stayed at this beautiful home for our friend's wedding. Everything is as advertised and better - the space is very comfortable and in a gorgeous location. We easily fit all of us and had a great space to prepare with the groom before going to the wedding. The owner is very communicative as well and puts very nice personal touches into the stay. Would highly recommend staying here!
