About this space
This luxurious lake house is the perfect high end getaway for a family looking for relaxation, or corporate retreat. The lake w/ sunset views are breathtaking, and can be viewed from nearly every room in the house, master and guest suite private decks, the spacious outdoor terrace, private deep water 2-level fixed dock, or while dining on the patio deck. Every room is designed for comfort, and has a Roku TV. Spend quality time playing games, cooking in the upscale kitchen, or swimming/boating.
The space
This house has the best of both lake and mountain house amenities. We are located right on the lake, and the private 2-level fixed dock with a dedicated slip for renters is in 35' of water (perfect for the jumping platform), just seconds away from "BIG water". Nearly every room in the house has breathtaking views of the lake and rolling hills, and the sunset views are spectacular from the many decks, patios, and terraces, or from the dock. Enjoy swimming in the lake, or taking a nice relaxing walk through the neighborhood. Or go into town to check out the local winery, donut and coffee shop, the arts and crafts fair held every weekend, or restaurants. This is a perfect place to get away and have some peaceful, quiet family time while enjoying the many amenities the house and lake have to offer.
The town of Wedowee is a quaint, cute town that has a winery, donut/coffee shop, weekly arts and crafts fair on the median, food trucks, a few small restaurants, and conveniences such as a grocery store, convenience store, etc. The marina, accessible by car or boat, has marine supplies, gas, a BBQ restaurant, ice cream shop, and other marine essentials.
Guest access
For guests bringing a boat or wave runner, there is access to our private neighborhood boat ramp just a few blocks away from the house. You'll have access to keep your boat and/or wave runner right in back of the house in a private covered slip on the new 2-level fixed dock which will keep your boat/wave runner secure and safe during your stay.

Things to keep in mind before booking:
- The 4th bedroom is above the garage detached from the house and only has a half bathroom (i.e no shower). So, if using that room, they will need to shower in the main house.
- The bedrooms are located on the main/entrance floor, and the living area, including the kitchen, is located on the lower floor. As shown in the pictures, to get downstairs you will need to go down a flight of steps, which means this house may not be conducive to people with limited mobility and also requires bringing groceries and other things downstairs (but does make for a great workout!).
- Wedowee a remote part of AL so the cell reception can be very spotty at times, and the WiFi is the best we could find but still not great (around 20 Mbps).
- We do not allow guests to bring pets, but we do have 3 beagles that occasionally come to the house with us when we stay there. While we make every effort to clean thoroughly before and after each stay, if you have an increased sensitivity to pets this may pose an issue for you so this may not be the place for you.
