Nestled at the foot of the Montecito mountains, this welcoming, inviting, fresh modern midcentury ranch home will greet you with a stone entry reminiscent of the Sierra streams. The one-acre property is designed to provide you with the solitude and serenity you desire or a fantastic, fun place to visit with friends or family. Seven sliding glass doors and three "A" frame windows let the outside, light, and greenery in to allow California living without having to go outside.
This home has a lovely kitchen with plenty of space, granite counters, tons of light, and everything you need to create a delicious meal. It includes a four-burner stovetop, double oven, warming drawer, and a full-size built-in fridge.
Adjoining the kitchen is the dining room with seating for ten and is all glass, even the ceiling! You feel like you're eating outside with the flowers and birds. Outside the kitchen, sit back and experience some "Grill-time" grilling tri-tip, salmon, or brats with friends.
The lush living room has a large leather sectional and glass sliders to give that indoor-outdoor feel. Play family board games in this expansive living area beside the gas fireplace, or cuddle up for a movie on the large flat-screen TV with Streaming Youtube Live TV.
Fall asleep in the master bedroom to the sound of a babbling brook. This room has a king canopy bed, a walk-in closet, an ensuite bathroom with a shower/tub, a gorgeous stone wall feature, and sliding glass doors opening to a private patio. Read a book in the nook or relax and watch a show.
The second master also has a California king bed, ensuite bathroom, black-out curtains, and a flat-screen TV.
The third and fourth bedrooms have twin trundle beds, a wardrobe/closet, and sliding glass doors to the patio. One is also an office with a large desk, paper shredder, and hard-wired internet.
The fifth room is an office and bedroom with a futon that folds out into a full bed with a memory foam topper for the most comfortable sleep.
All doors lead out to the gorgeous park-like backyard with its natural Santa Barbara beauty and fun adventures awaiting. Step outside and one can search for the hiding goldfish in the pond, take a meandering hike on the trail while crossing a waterfall, or discover a mini cave (under three large boulders). Shoot some hoops, play ping pong poolside, spend the night under the oak trees in the treehouse, or set up a tent on the level pad.
The crown jewel of this amazing backyard is the beautiful free-form pool and jacuzzi. Sliding down the 16-foot water slide is reminiscent of a mountain stream dumping the adventurous ones into the pool below. The pool is designed with lovely large steppingstones that children play on and swim under and around. Smell the intoxicating jasmine while chatting it up under the stars in the jacuzzi surrounded by light-up oaks. Warm-up to the firepit for some smores amongst the illuminated oak trees and emerald-colored pool. Seek time of reflection in the cedar sauna or take an outdoor shower in one of two showers.
Prep a charcuterie tray for poolside snacks at the outdoor counter and sink or take a siesta in the hammock under the peaceful trees. Drink freshly squeezed orange juice straight from the tree for breakfast from one of the three orange trees.
