Positive: We’ve just returned from a week away and the property was exceptional – a real home from home. The kitchen was fantastic, stocked with everything you could possibly need. The whole place was extremely clean and tidy, with plenty of storage, and the front porch was an added bonus for wet clothes or drying the dog after a rainy walk. The bathroom was beautiful. Just a note for taller guests – you’ll likely need to use the sit-down shower or bath. At just over 5ft, we had no issues. The double bed was very soft, but after one night you don’t even notice because the sleep you get is amazing! The property is right near the rail line, which we found great as you can see the trains go by. Walking into town is fairly flat and takes around 40 minutes to reach the Co-op. Just be mindful that in winter there’s zero street lighting, so it can be pitch black if you’re on foot. The cottage is dog friendly, which was a big plus for us. There is outdoor space where you can sit with a drink or meal, but it isn’t enclosed, so you’ll need to keep your dog on a lead. Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d happily return!
