🏝️ Getting to Savary Island – Guest Directions
Savary Island is only accessible by water taxi, so you’ll need to book your ride in advance to ensure a smooth trip over.
🚫 Please note: Vehicles are not permitted for renters on the island. If you’re not bringing your own bikes, we recommend asking the water taxi company to arrange a land taxi for you upon arrival to help with your bags and get you to the cottage.
🕕 Important Timing:
The last water taxi of the day departs at 6:00 PM, so be sure to plan your ferry and travel schedule accordingly. Missing that means waiting until the next day to reach the island.
🚲 Once You Arrive:
The cottage comes with bikes available for your use, making it easy to explore the island. Several beaches are within walking distance—just a 5 to 10-minute stroll from the cottage.
We recommend packing light and wearing comfortable shoes for arrival and departure days.
House Rules – Please Read Carefully
• No fires are allowed due to local fire bans and safety regulations.
• All garbage and recycling must be packed out — there are no public waste services on Savary Island.
• This is a pack-in / pack-out destination — please come prepared.
• Return all furniture and items to their original place before check-out.
• Text us before departure to confirm the cottage is ready for cleaning.
• Be mindful of noise and respectful of our neighbours — no loud music or gatherings, especially at night.
• Children must not be left unattended at the cottage or on the property.
• Generator use is recommended between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM only.
• Conserve water and power — this is a fully off-grid system.
• No smoking inside the cottage or trailer.
Pets (if approved):
• Must be under control at all times — no roaming freely.
• Do not allow pets to chase wildlife or disturb the natural surroundings.
• Limit barking out of respect for neighbours and the peaceful setting.
• All pet waste must be picked up and properly disposed of.
Additional Reminders:
• Bikes, toys, and games must be returned to their original storage space after use.
• Seashells and natural items collected during your stay must be returned to the beach.
• Before leaving, please hang any damp towels or household linens on the indoor clothesline or drying rack to prevent mildew.
• Do not leave wet items balled up on floors, furniture, or beds.
