Positive: Quite far away from the town center, which I like because it’s much quieter. The room was really clean and in a very good condition. Good parking possibilities, even if you come with a transporter van.
Negative: This is actually not a hotel, motel or aparthotel in itself. It is actually a senior home! You have alarms everywhere and it could be that your neighbor is a senior citizen residing there. Not a bad thing in and on itself, but was quite confusing. There is absolutely no indication on where to go for the check in. We really thought we had the wrong address. Also, when the gentleman on the counter came outside we were really surprised he did not speak a word of German. Even after he asked if we speak english, he wasn’t able to speak it fluently himself. Now, I am an immigrant to Germany myself, so I know how hard it can be for an adult person to learn German, however reading reviews from some years ago, the former guests described the same situation. It would be nice if the employees would be able to communicate with the guests. Finally, the description of the room states that there is a kitchen, so we brought some food with us. Unfortunately the kitchen is limited to a microwave oven, a kettle a fridge and a sink. There is absolutely no pots, no pans, etc. There was only two forks, two glasses, and some very small plates. Totally underwhelming. There is so much cabinet space but it’s totally empty.
Summary: I would return, but I would be better prepared after the first experience.
