The House of Kraken is centrally located between the world renown beaches, the water sport and fishing destination of Lake Tarpon, and the activities and nightlife of Tampa.
The home has just undergone an extensive renovation and has 3 nice size bedrooms, all with king size beds, an additional full sized murphy bed in the living room , as well as 2 bathrooms. The open kitchen is well stocked with all your cooking essentials, including an additional beverage/wine fridge. There's indoor dining space for 8 connected to the living room with additional seating and a large smart TV (the home has 3 TV's total). The home also has an outdoor screened in Florida room that functions as a second living room, and right outside of there is an outdoor dining set that seats 6. The very private, fully fenced backyard backs up to a conservation area with no rear neighbors. It has an extensive patio area which also includes 4 lounge chairs, a propane bbq, and a spacious 16' above ground pool (that is not fenced so children need to be supervised at all times). Additionally, the garage space has been converted to a laundry and game room, with an arcade sized air hockey table and full sized ping ping table.
The House of Kraken is pet friendly and allows up to 3 dogs, any size, with a $100 pet fee. If pets are not disclosed before checking in, the pet fee increases to $200. We ask that you use the provided grey pet blankets on any furniture the pets will be on, if not used any excess cleaning charges will be passed on to the guest. Dogs must be crated if they are being left unattended, and cleaned up after in the yard. Pet feces in the home or yard are subject to a $100 fee. Pets are not allowed in the pool. The home is also non-smoking both in the house and the Florida room. Up to 8 guests can stay in the home, no events or parties allowed, and you must be at least 25 to book. For bookings over 28 days, a signed rental agreement is required.
This home is under pest control by a professional company, but in Florida's climate, insects are around throughout the year so please don't leave any of the doors open to allow for unwanted entry. This home features a Ring Doorbell device with an exterior security camera facing the front outdoor entry, and the camera does not look into any interior spaces. There is also a security camera facing the pool, footage is only reviewed if an incident in the pool occurs. Tampering with cameras will lead to cancellation of reservation without a refund.
