2 Bedroom Cabin in Tamarack Resort, Donnelly
A very unique home built by my father in the 70's. On a peninsula, we are right on the beach with a island just off shore adding a bit of privacy. In the high water season (spring and summer) there's a nice swimming hole and in low water season you will have to walk out a bit as the water recedes and becomes murky in front of the house. We have a spacious yard with plenty of room for RV's and campers or in the winter, snowmobiles and trailers. There is a long interior drive that allows you to pull a boat or trailer through the property without backing up to exit on Gooseneck ct. There is possibility for port a potty rentals in the summer if there were extra people wanting to camp or bring trailers (there are a couple of good parking places under the trees away from the house). There is a stove heated sauna not many steps from the front door that is rather relaxing after the days activities. The house is very open being the only rooms in the house to have a door are the bathroom and the wood/storage room. YOU MUST know how to light and keep a fire in the winter months as our electric heating system is way outdated and does very poorly. There are two wood stoves that will keep the cabin plenty warm. The first floor contains the Kitchen/dinning area that is equipped with a double sink, electric oven/stove, toaster oven, blender, juicer, fridge/freezer, a rock top island/bar and a large dinning table (seats 9) and benches. Sitting areas on the first floor include the sun/solar room with many windows and a futon , long coffee table and few chairs. The other seating area is where the TV and wood stove are located. At the top of the first set of stairs you will find the bathroom (with an old cast iron tub and a funky shower rigged up that works well enough but should be bigger. There is a book case with some health books, lots of kids books, some hippy books and crayons. There is a futon and an old drafting table with some stools to have deep conversations around or color some pictures. There is a dresser and another bookcase with a growing selection of books before you enter the laundry area. In the bedroom you will find a full size bed and desk with a great lake view out the windows lining the room. Up the narrow stair case to the third floor is the more private bedroom with a queen and single bed and once again a lake view! Above that is a secret tower which must remain locked... On the maps it may look like the house is a block from the lake but that is meant to represent the size of the property,. The front lawn ends at the beach area. In the summer months you can enter the property from either Gooseneck Ct. or Scott Ln. whereas mentioned before, there is a round drive connecting those two roads. Check in is 3:pm Check out is 11:am if other guests are arriving on that day. (If no booking conflict exists you may have a late check out. You will need to call and confirm on the day of departure that no one else is scheduled to arrive that afternoon to have a late check out. )
