With its name derived from its builders (Stan, Anne & their daughter, Martha), Sam's Dock provides all the comforts of home including cable for the flat screen TV, wi-fi and a full size washer and dryer. Sam's Dock is also available to qualified tenants as a long-term rental. As you enter this pet-friendly 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, you will immediately notice the breathtaking views of the lake and the Bluff through two sets of sliding patio doors overlooking the lake from the dining and living areas, spanning the entire front of the home. This vista is especially spectacular during the fall foliage months. Step outside onto the deep, roomy deck and breathe in the fresh lake air while relaxing in the Adirondack chairs, or prepare a meal on the gas grill provided here and enjoy it at the outdoor dining table. A large, automatic Sun Setter awning provides shade when needed on those toasty summer afternoons. The kitchen, with full size appliances and ample cupboard and counter space, is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare and enjoy a meal, and is found immediately inside the entrance and directly off the open plan dining area, which offers seating for six; the table is equipped with a leaf, so can be expanded to comfortably accommodate eight. The kitchen island has seating for an additional two guests. The spacious living area is directly off the dining area, making it easy for your group to spend quality time together. Here you will find three comfy armchairs and a large sofa perfectly positioned to enjoy the gorgeous scenery. The sofa has a double sleeper that offers flexibility with sleeping arrangements if needed. Take the hallway from the living areas to find a shared full bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Across the hall from the bathroom are two bedrooms, one offering two twin beds and one offering a queen bed, decorated in soothing blue and green tones. The master suite, with king bed, roomy walk-in closet, and full bath with stand-up shower, is located at the end of the hall. For your convenience, the owner of the property furnishes all bed linens, bathroom hand towels, and dish towels; guests need only bring beach towels. Outdoors, Sam's Dock has a small level grassy play area in front of the home, with a parking area for 2 vehicles that is accessible directly from Route 54, and plenty of mature trees to offer privacy and some shade during parts of the day. An elegant new stairway with terraces and short-rise steps helps guests navigate the slope from the home to East Lake Road and the guest parking area. A second staircase leads to the child-friendly gradual entry natural stone waterfront, complete with waterside concrete block fire-pit for roasting marshmallows and singing your favorite campfire songs together. For those who wish to watch the little ones and four-footed family members enjoy the water from a shady perch above, this second staircase has a 10' x 10' deck at the midpoint. An L-shaped dock on the beach is large enough to accommodate a light boat up to 21' in length and provides a great spot for fishing or basking in the sun. Remember to bring your beach towels, water shoes, and sunscreen! As mentioned, this property has parking next to the home (accessible from Route 54) for 1 to 2 vehicles, along with curbside parking on East Lake Road for an additional 2 vehicles, depending on vehicle sizes. Please note there is a total of 37 stairs from the East Lake Road parking area to the front door. The staircase from the East Lake Road parking area to the waterfront is a total of 38 stairs. There are plateaus and landings at several points to allow those with mobility challenges comfortable places to pause if needed, but access to the waterfront may be challenging for some. The swim float shown in some waterfront photos belongs to a neighboring property and cannot be used by Sam's Dock's guests.
