2 Bedroom Cabin in Kearney, Emsdale
Summer are going to rent for just a few weeks this summer. We have loved having many lovely renters since 2016 from close a far (Switzerland and Germany). We added on a lovely screened-in 'muskoka room' that provides a lovely place to be outdoors but away from the bugs! Beautiful views of the lake. All the comforts of home! Our year round three bedroom cottage is nicely furnished and can sleep up to 7 people. The kitchen is modern and perfect for our guests who love to cook including high-end cookware, all small appliances, dishwasher an herb garden just outside the door. If you love to cook this is a great kitchen. If not, there is a BBQ and microwave. The perfect setting for a wonderful, classic family cottage vacation! You can enjoy swimming, canoeing, fishing (includes a small boat with a quiet electric motor), sun bathing, playing in the sand (small beach), reading, board games or watching movies (46” TV). There is an outdoor fire pit with surrounding deck and a gas fire table. While there is fishing, if you are a erious fishing enthusiast this is likely not the best spot for you. The lake includes pike, small mouth bass and pickerel however the fishing tends to vary year to year. Fisher Lake is crystal clean and quiet! Loons, bird song and peepers are the loudest noise you will hear. The lake has a 10hp limit so if you're looking for peace and quiet in Muskoka…this is it. The lake does not allow large motor boats or jet skis. Enjoy lots of privacy as the cottage is situated on a point and offers 400’ of water frontage. Relax over your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail on the large deck with sofa, chairs and a gas fire table or on the point or in the fully screened-in porch. You have your choice of three places to eat al fresco overlooking the lake. The main deck and screened in muskoka room is also great for those busy toddlers as there is no ‘escape’ so parents can enjoy a worry-free relaxing moment. Of course, all well-behaved dogs are welcome…they deserve a vacation too! Sorry, no cats as we are both very allergic. Near by attractions/activities: The cottage is about 20 km north of Huntsville that offers great shopping, restaurants and other attractions. Enjoy golf, mountain biking or hiking (Algonquin). For those young at heart there is Santa's Village in Bracebridge. You are on the door step of the trails and beauty of Algonquin Park. Kearney is the closest town and has a well-stocked general store, a small restaurant and LCBO.
