Hurricane Dorian Update: It is with a mix of sadness and relief that we let you know we're all OK here on Exuma Island. We are saddened to hear that our Bahamian friends and family to the North of us suffered unimaginable devastation as a result of hurricane Dorian, and our thoughts are with them. Fortunately the storm track was well north of us and all we received was a few very windy days. There is no damage on Exuma Island and we're pleased to let you know we're in great shape to receive guests. Now, on with the description of Aqua Terra... With ample space to unwind and plentiful amenities, AquaTerra is carefully planned to cater to every whim and encourage relaxation. ***PLEASE NOTE the quoted rate shown is for 6 bedrooms (maximum 12 persons) and all funds in USD. For 5 bedrooms rates (maximum 10 persons) please see listing number 1474539. For 4 bedroom rates (maximum 8 persons) please see listing number 1474060. Sun-bleached stucco, indigenous wood tones and contrasting colours exemplify the breezy Caribbean style. The natural sand, water and wood hues take centre stage to inspire leisure in this amazing beachfront home. The ICF-constructed, hurricane-proof home offers 5,200 sq. ft. of living space. The open-concept great room lends itself to connecting with friends and family, accented by a vaulted ceiling set off by a rich, aqua ceiling .In this room, cooking, eating, watching TV and playing games is possible, with the living room boasting a large sectional, a 46” flat screen TV, satellite, DVD player, IPod sound system and new JBL portable Bluetooth speaker with enhanced sound quality and WiFi. The kids will enjoy unwinding in the airy 500 sq. ft. loft with a sweeping bird’s eye view of the great room below, as well as the ocean. The gourmet kitchen, tastefully done in soothing shades of whipped cream and espresso beans, centers around a large island perfect for prepping, serving and reconnecting. All appliances are stainless steel and the kitchen features a five-burner gas cooktop, a built-in oven/microwave combo, a dishwasher and a large French door refrigerator and freezer with ice and water dispensers. Washer and dryers are located in a separate out-building only steps from the house. Everything needed is waiting for you. The cupboards are filled with tableware, glassware, flatware and melamine for indoor and outdoor use. The pantry is stocked with a large array of sleek, modern small appliances, including Cuisinart coffee maker with hot water on demand ,a Keurig Machine and an espresso machine....as well as cooking and baking supplies. It’s ready for you to harness your Caribbean kitchen creativity! Sitting down to a meal is an experience unto its own, as the dining room comfortably seats 12 people and looks out on the patio and ocean. The patio itself overlooks the pristine “Exuma blue” ocean and features an 8' x 8' heated spa and a 24' x 24’ solar heated saltwater infinity pool. A cabana houses a powder room, an outdoor kitchen and grill, a dining area and a lounge situated under an 800 sq. ft. deep roof, which provides protection from the elements and allows everyone to take in amazing views. The home offers six spacious bedrooms. Five of the bedrooms feature a king bed , large closet and a flatscreen TV, while the remaining bedroom features two twin beds that can be converted to a King if needed, closet and a flatscreen TV. Note: The main floor bedroom is wheelchair accessible. The king rooms each have an ensuite bathroom with porcelain-tiled walls, large shower and double sinks. The twin room has a tub and shower combo, porcelain-tiled walls and large single sink. Both bath and beach towels are provided, as are a hair dryer and vanity accessories in each ensuite. Rich mahogany and rattan, along with cool cotton furnishings, provide a comfortable, relaxed, tropical atmosphere. Feel the ocean breeze and the soft, powdery sand … and please remember to exhale!
