Renting this sweet cottage on Indian Lake will be delightful and your stay will certainly be cherished. The property was recently and completely renovated with 10' high ceilings and an open floor plan, kitchen-dining-living room area, making this cozy cottage feel very spacious. It has all the amenities you'll need for a relaxing vacation.The backyard faces west and you will experience some pretty cool sunsets! Included in this rental is a roomy dock with stairs right into the clean water of Indian Lake. You can also walk around the dock to launch the two kayaks and one canoe that are yours to use during your stay. There is also a neighborhood association beach, just steps away which features a sandy beach and dock as well as a floating dock for lots of summer time fun. You can swim between the property and the neighborhood beach if you desire. Swimming in the freshwater lake is such a treat as the water stays clean since there is a 10 horsepower limit on the lake. Along with keeping the water cleaner, the horsepower limit also keeps noisy engines from interrupting your zen.
This modern renovated cottage is minimalistic by design and every angle was thought out and designed wonderfully. Vacationers will enjoy the covered porch off the living room to start your day and take in all the views! The property was designed with outdoor living in mind and staying here, you will feel energized after a peaceful, relaxed stay.
To mix things up, you can visit many area beaches in South Kingstown or Narragansett within a five minute to fifteen minute drive. After a day at the beach, head back to Indian Lake and clean up in the outdoor shower and grill your dinner as the sun sets over the lake.
Indian Lake in South Kingstown is a crystal clear 260 acre lake close, with depths ranging from 6 to 9 feet in the center and shallower depths closer to shore. It is a man made lake, built in the 1950's to service the manufacturing industries and fed by Fresh Meadow Stream. The lake is great for swimming, fishing and many types of boating activities. Indian Lake is an excellent freshwater fishing spot and is stocked full with large/smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, striped bass, yellow perch, white choppie and bluegill.
Check-in is 3:00 on Friday and check-out is no later than 10:00 on your departure date. Professionally laundered linens and bath towels are provided for the occupancy of the property. Beach towels are not provided, unless otherwise specified on the listing. Guests can opt to bring their own linens for a credit. Please inquire for more information.
