Less than five miles from downtown Blue Ridge and less than 15 from downtown Ellijay, you'll have a hot tub, a fantastic deck that wraps around the house, and a gorgeous setting in the woods of North Georgia. This three-story lakefront home sits on a hillside property, providing easy access to Blue Ridge Adventure Park, and an assortment of charming shops and restaurants. Take a trip on the Historic Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and take a step back in time. The area is ripe for exploring, with Lake Blue Ridge under 10 miles away and all sorts of hiking trails, orchards, upscale restaurants, shops, galleries, fishing, and rafting opportunities nearby. Gaze at one of the many waterfalls in the area in locations like Amicalola Falls State Park, Falls Branch, Raven Cliff, Swinging Bridge, and more. Festivals and live events frequently occur throughout the year, so there will always be something to look forward to!
You'll spend much of your time here in the beautiful outdoors, sipping your coffee in rocking chairs on the deck, wandering down to the lakeshore to wet your toes, and capping the evenings with barbecues on the gas grill. There's a hammock on the patio for afternoon naps and a firepit where you can roast s'mores and swap ghost stories at night.
The interior is as atmospheric as the natural setting, most notably the great room with its wood-paneled walls, antler chandeliers, and a wood-burning fireplace with a floor-to-ceiling stone hearth. Summary: Great cabin overall!! If you visit Blue Ridge often you know it's a roll of the dice on the road to get to your cabin. This was paved all the way up to the driveway and easily manageable with a car (when not snowing). Lake and dock were great for fishing. We always look for a wood burning fireplace as well so it hit all the marks. I took one star off because this was the first cabin in about 10 years of annual trips that didn't have firewood on site. This adds a good $50 minimum and you have to go out and find a place or buy at Home Depot and load it yourself. Also note: as of December 28th, they are building a cabin next door which was annoying while sitting at the lake trying to relax and fish.
