Enjoy a real Maine vacation at Windward House on private waterfront property. Perfect for families, the main house has three enormous bedrooms, two with decks to sit and watch the sunrise, as well as a full walk-out basement. Nearly every room in the house offers a stunning ocean view. The house was recently renovated with four modern bathrooms and an expansive gourmet kitchen, but echoes of the home’s history as an 1870s beach house are in every detail, from the whitewashed shiplap walls to the period-appropriate door knobs.
The whole property is beautifully set on over 200 feet of private shoreline on Penobscot Bay. When the tide is out, walk out on the sand bar and collect shells and sea glass. When the tide is in, take a swim off the completely private beach or launch your kayak into the peaceful cove - bring your own kayaks or rent locally. At night, roast marshmallows in the firepit or watch fireflies from the screened front porch.
Conveniently situated near the charming town of Belfast, the property is a 20-minute drive to Camden and a little over an hour to Acadia National Park.
A detached cottage on the property, currently occupied, may be available for off-season rentals. The cottage is not available during the high season. Contact us for more information.
