This classic Maine waterfront cottage, updated from ground to sky in 2011, has a view that never quits, and the Adirondack chairs on the rocks at the water’s edge are just 75’ from the screened porch. A second-floor ocean-side Juliet balcony is the best place to sip your morning coffee or evening wine. Help yourself to a cottage kayak if you want a closer look at marine wildlife or one of the harbor islands.
LIVING AREA
The spacious first-floor living room has plenty of comfortable seating and double doors that open to the screened porch; if the weather is gray or chilly, you can cozy up to the propane fireplace. A TV (with limited service) is also available for entertainment, or peruse a collection of puzzles, games, children’s toys, and many books.
KITCHEN & DINING
The light-filled and fully equipped kitchen provides ocean views to both the East and the West. Bring your group together around the vintage oak dining room table for memorable vacation mealtimes.
BED & BATH
Upstairs, you’ll find two large East-facing bedrooms. Each room is detailed with a queen bed, direct balcony access, and vintage dressers.
The third West-facing bedroom has two XL twin beds (which can be converted to a king bed upon request), a Pack ‘n Play, and under the bed is an extra floor mattress.
The upstairs bathroom features a tub/shower combination.
The first-floor office doubles as a bedroom and features a queen Murphy bed and a large workspace with a desktop monitor and French doors -- ideal for nighttime privacy or working remote. An adjacent bathroom has a walk-in shower.
OUTDOOR AREA
Enjoy quiet mornings on the screened porch. Plenty of seating invites you to kick back and take in the view. Take the stairs and a secluded path down to the water's edge.

Wi-Fi, on-site parking for three cars (no other parking available on island), and a Weber charcoal grill.
Although this home does not have air-conditioning, it is rarely needed with Southport’s mild coastal temperatures.
This cottage shares the following on-site amenities with the unit on the other side of the duplex: a printer, two kayaks and personal floatation devices for all ages/sizes, a limited landline for emergency calls, and a washer/dryer.
This two-story duplex is accessed via a short flight of stairs at the entryway.
LOCATION
This magic little island was developed and established as a summer community in the 1890s, is social if you feel social and private if you do not. The Casino (community house near the bridge), the marina/docks/floats, the beaches, the woodland paths, the car-width dirt road, the playground area, and tennis courts: all are shared by residents, guests, and tenants.
