The Gorgeous Pacific Ocean, Golden Sandy Beach, Incredible Sunsets, and Whale Watching are directly across the street from this beautiful South Kihei Resort, the MAUI BANYAN—a LEGIT SHORT-TERM RENTAL PROPERTY.
This 1 Bedroom 2 Bath Condo is conveniently located in the South Kihei hotel district, with a short walk to Beautiful Kamaole 2 ('Kam' 2) Beach and many restaurants, bars, and stores. Over10 Restaurants are within three blocks of walking distance from this condo. Moped and bike rentals, a Health Food store, and many Hawaiian gift stores are also very close.
My name is Jeffery; I will be your host and live in Hana Maui. Welcome to My Aloha Maui Retreat! I offer longer-stay discounts for stays of 1 week or longer. The unit offers a new FULLY STOCKED kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances, Non-stick and stainless steel cookware, and an Instant Pot—a new, VERY comfortable king-size bed with two new king-size Black Diamond cooling pillows. A large flat-screen TV is in the living room, and a small TV is in the bedroom, with Roku remotes on each. There are 2 A/C units (one in the living room, one in the bedroom). And a new washer/dryer set.
FYI - not in display photos yet - Grey colored ceilings and two I-6 BIG ASS FANS, one in the living room and one above the bed in the bedroom. They are very efficient! Reduces air conditioner needs.
FREE WIFI is available - TVs come with ROKU Remotes to access multiple streaming stations, including YouTube, Netflix, HULU, Prime, etc. The ROKU channel also offers many TV shows, news, and movies.
Enjoy in-house coffee with a Standard Coffee Drip machine and a Precision Auto-Burr Coffee Grinder. Various teas and an electric kettle are also available. Enjoy your coffee or Tea beverage in your Condo or while looking at the Beautiful Scenery from the Lanai. (An Espresso Machine, a Milk frother, and an Ottomatic Chemex are available upon request.)
BREAKING NEWS: A new MegaHome Water Distiller is now on hand. No more plastic bottled water or chemicals associated with Tap Water. Makes a gallon of the purest water in just four hrs. Fill your Tumbler or Thermos and head out for the day, knowing you will be adequately hydrated without the plastics or chemicals. Let me know if this interests you.
Enjoy Fresh Fruit Smoothies with a Vitamix 3500 Super Blender. Wahoo! Pick up tropical fruit from a local farmers' market or many local fruit stands. I go to Hawaiian Moons Health food store (3 blocks from Condo), get fresh and frozen fruit, ice cream, or Gelato, and blend away. Many options!
The unit is on the opposite side of the building from the parking lot, close to the beach and pool, without the noise from either. It's very Quiet and Peaceful, with nice views. The King Bed is so wonderful and cozy! Wake up to the sound of birds singing in the morning. The Lanai overlooks natural woodland with views of Haleakala; it is very private.
Two pool and BBQ areas are down the path through well-manicured lawns and gardens. A very nice tennis court is on-site, and lots of golf is just down the road.
A Reserved Covered Parking Place is one of the best amenities for renting this condo. Keep your car cool while you are not using it. Take advantage of walking down to the beach or the many Stores, Restaurants, and Bars nearby. There are Additional Parking Places If Needed.
The unit is extensively cleaned, including all door knobs, light switches, and remotes. The laundry detergent used is Free and Clear - no fragrances.
Additional amenities include Pickle Ball rackets, personal safe, Beach Chairs (a few types), beach mats, beach umbrellas, Boogie boards, and rarely needed rain umbrellas.

Summary: Pros:The host accommodated an early check-in, free of charge.Great location in Kihei.Grounds are well tended.Cons:The floor needed to be mopped.The air conditioners were mediocre.CockroachesWhy we will NOT rent from this host again:We experienced an infestation of cockroaches in the kitchen island, sink, and bathrooms. The host denies there was a problem. He accused us of being wrong (claims the bugs we saw were not cockroaches), hypersensitive, and unreasonable.Because the cockroach activity escalated we chose to vacate the unit and rent a different unit for the last few nights of our stay (at our own expense).
