Summary: The villa was beautifully restored by Alfonso and his brother. The grounds were breathtaking, spacious and tranquil. Alfonso was such a gracious host and went above and beyond ensuring we were taken care of including taking us to pick up our rental car, showing us the town and making recommendations. We read the previous reviews so we were prepared for the difficult driving on the backroads to get to and from the villa. Be sure to read the reviews and get the right sized car (super small). I ended up skipping the car most days and took a fantastic road for motorbikes and pedestrians down to town (35 min. walk). You’re immersed in the landscape, olive trees, lemon trees with panoramic views. Just remember it’s a very steep climb back up (and a great workout)! Truly a magical spot.
