Positive: mattresses were very good
Negative: The keys had not been left in the door as agreed - we had to phone the agent and then wait for the agent to find some keys and eventually the owner turned up Satnav takes you to a route that is blocked by fences so no access possible - would be helpful if this was updated or at least the instructions could say don't follow sat nav/google maps. Took us a while to find it. The place was not ready - no water or any welcome goods at all - we had to go into town immediately to pick up some water The absence of pool towels is really not good - I understand not having beach towels but we need something for the pool. when the cleaning happened all the spare house towels that we had shared among the four of us so we had something to use by the pool were taken away and not replaced. Its just stingy! The netting on one bathroom window was broken which meant the window had to stay permanently closed to avoid lots of small flies and mosquitos coming in - we pointed this out on day one and nothing was done about it. The kitchen was not well stocked - needed chopping boards and bread knife etc as a minimum - and just more glasses etc - one chopping knife was dangerously broken at the handle. Needs mats etc to use on outdoor table etc. Key safety points: The wooden stairs down to the pool area are rickety and old and wood is decaying - handrail was hard to use as it gave you splinters it was so damaged all the way. The steps are steep. One of the single beds collapsed and had to be reassembled by us as it is held together with just tension, no glue or screws - this was the actual frame not the slats! Whole place needs some TLC Pool area lovely but set well below the house - a concern if you have kids - which is how the mezzanines are set up - to accommodate children
