Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The host picked us up from the ferry port, even though our ferry wasn't arriving till late in the evening. He gave us a detailed tour of our apartment, making sure we knew where everything was and how things worked. He even brought us some homemade treats to make us feel welcome, and left us water and local wine in the fridge. The view from the bedroom window was spectacular, it made being outside of town worth it. The owner was very keen to drive us in to the main town when our schedules aligned, which suited us as we were not planning on hiring a vehicle during our short stay. It was around a 15 minute walk from the accommodation to a bus stop for a free bus service in to the town which was very convenient.
Negative: You need to be aware that the accommodation is quite out of the way in terms of shops and restaurants and bits like that, but the spectacular view makes up for this!
