The house boasts a large swimming pool in the ample garden surrounding the property. External Area and Swimming Pool The estate has 50 acres of land, of which 15 surround the villa, including a large Italian garden with oak and pine trees perfect for outdoor relax and another area with a pine grove and mediterranean scrub, where there is a country road which leads to a lake, ideal for walking or jogging. The area in front of the villa boasts a large antique fountain which makes it the ideal place for parties or ceremonies. The rectangular shared swimming pool, 10x20 metres and 2 metres deep, is behind the house, 150 metres from the entrance, in a shaded and lush area and is fully equipped with sunbeds perfect for relaxing in the sun or under the pergola. Parking within the property.Interior The villa, dating back to the 19th century, is on two floors and has antique furniture, high ceilings, thick walls and windows with internal and external shutters which help to keep the house cool even during the warmer months and hours. The main entrance is on the ground floor where you will find an ample living room with antique furniture and paintings, a large silk tapestry, a beautiful fireplace, a satellite TV with a DVD player, as well as a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. A large staircase brings you to the upper floor with all the bathrooms and bedrooms, all but one of them overlooking the garden with a view of the sea in the background. There are three double bedrooms, one of which with a private bathroom with bathtub, two bedrooms each with two beds, two single bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and three bathrooms with bathtub. In a separate room on the first floor there is a laundry room with an iron and ironing board, while the washing machine and dryer are in the kitchen on the ground floor. Location The estate was the summer house of a noble family descended from the Conti Millo di Casalgiate and the Marchesi Diana and is immersed in a luxuriant, quiet atmosphere not far from the town, overlooking the sea and culturally important areas. Facilities Villa le Casenuove has Wi-Fi, central heating, baby bed, high chair, a portable barbecue and parking in the property. Upon request and to be paid for on arrival are cookery courses, dinners, hired help, wine tours. Important Information Swimming pool open 15/05-15/09 (for the season 2019) and from 8am-8pm. The pool and the pool area might also be used by 3 other families, who spend time in the apartments in the 15 acres surrounding the villa. Pets are permitted but only upon request. Arrivals must take place between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm.Activities and Distances The villa is perfect for visiting the main coastal areas of the region as well as the beautiful villages in the hinterland, like Bolgheri, famous for its “Super Tuscan” wines. You can visit and have tastings at the farms and wine cellars in the Costa degli Etruschi area, ride horses, have excursions, go hiking and have cookery courses.
