5 Bedroom Villa in Hvar

Villa Hvar Royale is located in the historical heart of the seaside town of Hvar. From its magnificent stone baroque balcony, it captures breath-taking views of the Riva esplanade and the harbour beyond. Modern yachts and classic sailboats adorn the waterfront just meters away while Fortica, the 16th Century Fortress, protectively watches over this popular port of call and the surrounding Pakleni Islands.
The Villa was originally built in 1612, during the baroque period, when Venice exhibited a strong influence all along Adriatic. Today it is preserved as a heritage monument and is protected under Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments. It was first owned by the well-known Stalio family as well as Marchi family, one of the oldest Italian families in Hvar.
The Villa, along with the Gothic pool house and garden was fully renovated between 2007 and 2009, in strict accordance with the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments. The property of Villa Hvar Royale is divided into three levels (low ground floor, ground floor and first floor - attic), which are connected by the original restored staircase. The property has a floor area of 450m² across three floors.
Guests will enjoy 5 well-appointed luxury bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms for up to 10 people and a large open plan living area with a library, fireplace, kitchen and the dining room. For those looking to wind up or wind down, the lower ground floor opens up to wellness facilities and a wine cellar. Just beyond the doors of the Villa Hvar Royale, an expansive Mediterranean garden awaits, and is home to a variety of citrus trees, figs, lavender and rosemary bushes.
In the garden you’ll find an old Gothic house with a heated pool that can be converted for outdoor or indoor use to suit your visit year-round. Your stay at Villa Hvar Royale will grant you exclusive unfettered access to the cultural beauty of Hvar, its Roman namesake. The warm Mediterranean rhythms will exhilarate on those long summer nights and demand peaceful tranquillity at your beckon call. Experience the rich flavours of Dalmatian cuisine accompanied by a tall glass of Hvar’s renowned local wine, Plavac.
The living area is, the garden aside, the soul of the villa and perfect for gatherings on a quite evening alone by the fire. Whit its majestic stone baroque balcony, it commands unparalleled views into the Sea, Pakleni Islands and Fortica Fortress. The kitchen and dining room also benefit from stunning views of Fortica Fortress. With no shortage of sunny skies, the garden table is an equally excellent alternative to complement your meal, wine or book with. In this part of the villa, there are also two bedrooms - both of them have double beds and private bathrooms with a shower.
On the first floor - attic of the Villa Hvar Royale, there are three double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, while the master bedroom has a an-suite bathroom with a designer bathtub. The bedrooms are located in the attic, which, combined with the original and appropriate interior, have a special charm. Each room is decorated to the last detail in a completely unique way, which is particularly interesting because of the individuality of each unit, yet still connected together into a unity.
The low ground floor of the Villa Hvar Royale is where you will find a wine cellar, large sauna, relaxation room with a jacuzzi and shower and a separate room for massages, equipped with a modern massage table, essential oils and all other spa necessities. The high ground floor of the villa is connected to the villa's garden and it has an indoor pool (approx. 25 m²) with sliding glass walls, so it can be opened up and thus transformed into an outdoor pool.
The unrequited splendour of the sea and the magical bays along the coast of Hvar and the Pakleni Islands will undoubtedly make you think twice about going anywhere else on your next holiday.

Location
Hvar, the island in Adriatic Sea, is the longest and the sunniest Croatian island and one of the most beautiful islands in the world. The island Hvar is famous for its pleasant Mediterranean climate. Maximum temperatures are never too high to render agriculture impossible. Friendly people, well-indented coast, numerous picturesque and intact beaches and bays, virgin nature, very rich historical and cultural inheritance, the scents of lavender, olive trees and wine are the reasons that island Hvar welcomes more and more tourists each year.
Long, lean Hvar is vaguely shaped like the profile of a holidaymaker reclining on a sun lounger, which is altogether appropriate for the sunniest spot in the country and its most luxurious beach destination. Hvar's interior hides abandoned ancient hamlets, craggy peaks, vineyards and the lavender fields that the island is famous for. It’s worth exploring on a day trip, as is the southern end of the island, which has some of Hvar’s most beautiful and isolated coves.
The city of Hvar is a unique fusion of luxurious Mediterranean nature, rich cultural and historical heritage, and mundane, tourist present. It is situated in picturesque nature, facing the southern, side of the world that has given it all Mediterranean attraction and cheerfulness; facing sea, that gave it splendid and repeatable history, Hvar is an inexhaustible treasury of the scenery, atmosphere and adventure. Its name derives from the Greek name for island and town, that stood where today Stari Grad (Hvar became an island’s centre in 13th century) stands - PHAROS. Hvar gained glory and power during middle ages being an important port within the Venetian, naval empire. Today, it is centre of island’s tourism and one of the favourite destinations in Dalmatian riviera - a town of smiling and courteous people, who are almost only dedicated to tourism. Visitors wander along the main square, explore the sights on the winding stone streets, swim at the numerous beaches or pop off to the Pakleni Islands to get into their birthday suits – but most of all they come to party. Hvar's reputation as Croatia's premier party town is well deserved. There are several good restaurants, bars and hotels here.
