Summary: Firstly, Bjorn the owner, was super responsive in helping the issues detailed below so make contact if needed and I believe he will do what he can. The listing: Be aware, the bedroom with the spa Bath is a bathroom with a bed in it. There is no aircon in that room, no natural light as it’s in the basement and it is damp so has a dehumidifier unit that can be plugged it (but is then noisy). You do not get use of the master bedroom so therefore no use of the balcony or roof terrace. We could not stay in the bathroom so due to some other issues detailed below, Bjorn agreed for use to use his master bedroom for the duration. The listing shows a pool table and table tennis. This is not at the property - but this was clarified prior to the stay as I had asked. The Property: We were told to check in at 4pm (Vrbo actually says 2pm) but the cleaners were still there at 4:45pm. The cleanliness was very poor. Old mouldy coffee in the machine. Squashed bugs not cleaned if walls and broken glass on the floor by the pool - this area had not be swept or mopped. I messaged Bjorn, who as compensation kindly offered the master bedroom and the cleaner came back the next day BUT only to unlock the room so I had to demand they stay and clean again. The aircon in the main living area isn’t great. It works but doesn’t make the room cold as is needed when coming in from 30°+. Also, this is a lived in home. Many drawers and cupboards and full of possessions so it’s not solely a holiday home for rental. Getting the master bedroom was helpful but we then had to live out of a suitcase due to no free storage. Location: If you intend to walk to the marina only this is ok - it’s 5-10 mins. To get to Cala D’or centre is a hard 15-20min walk and very hilly. A taxi was hard to get so we walked a lot and this was the worst part. I would not stay this far out again. There isn’t a shop near by either. I strongly recommend transport if staying here. In summary, the cleanliness was poor, the listing is not fully accurate (or doesn’t give clarity on what is and is not in use) and the location was to far away from the main area. However, I must state again Bjorn was excellent and I’m grateful for his compromise as he was dealing with my from his homeland in Germany (I believe). We would not return here but made the most and had a good holiday overall.
