Positive: Villa Angélique Saint-Denis de la Réunion We stayed at Villa Angélique in Saint-Denis de la Réunion at the beginning and end of our tour of the island. The villa is a superb little boutique hotel combining the charm of an old colonial house with all the comforts you would expect. This establishment deserves its four stars, as everything is perfect for a stay in Réunion's capital. The lounges are tastefully decorated. During our stay, there was an exhibition by a contemporary artist. The rooms are air-conditioned and all have private bathrooms. The bedding is of high quality and very comfortable. Breakfast is very good and can be taken on the terrace. It should be noted that the hotel has a lift, which is appreciated by people with disabilities or large suitcases. The hotel is 10 minutes' walk from all the city's sights; the Grand Marche, museums, etc. An address to be recommended. The hotel does not (yet) have a restaurant, but it would seem that this is in the management's plans. We recommend La Fabrique, an excellent gastronomic address run by chef Jehan Colson (www.lafabriquerestaurant.re), with a very fine wine list.
