The space
Our Caracol property is located 1 hour from DFW and 30 minutes from Waco. The home has been completely remodeled with new windows, insulation, drywall, electrical, and pluming was all upgraded. From the moment you walk in, you'll fall in love with the open space. The open kitchen, dining, and living area make the space feel so big yet it's cozy enough to grab a blanket and enjoy your favorite movie in front of the electric fireplace.
**NOTE: Due to low water levels, currently it is not possible to walk straight into the lake or carry the kayaks from the house to the lake. You can walk to the lake cliffs and fish (must purchase fishing license). You can also drive about 5 minutes, launch your boat and if you have the right vehicle, load the kayaks and have fun on the lake.
This home is 1 of 2 properties in a 1-acre lot, so each property has plenty of space. The property backs up green land maintained by the army corps of engineers with an easy walk to the lake. The bluffs provide a great spot for fishing and to enjoy beautiful sunsets. An easy hike to Soldiers Bluff Park, where you can skip rocks, dip your toes in the water, and also take great pictures of the Parsons Castle. A boat ramp is right on the other side of the dam, with a swimming and wadding area at Lofer's Bend Park. Clear nights provide great stargazing, and plenty of seating is available right outside the dining room complete with a propane firepit.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and it has new stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, a breakfast bar and a nice size glass dining table. The 75-in smart TV with Netflix and Disney+ (both included) is visible almost from everywhere in the home. The kitchen features a 30-inch propane stove and electric oven, plenty of pots, pans, a blender, microwave, and toaster. A coffee machine, electric kettle, and Keurig machine are also available.
Bedroom 1 - King size bed, plus working desk and chair. A monitor and keyboard is available, but you'll need to bring your USB cable to connect your laptop.
Living room has a queen size pull out couch with Tempur-Pedic mattress.
A full length mirror, nightstands, reading lamps, and plenty of closet space is available.
