Description of the River House:
This air-conditioned, 2,640 sqft, upstairs space, is often described as “The Glass House” due to the wide, panoramic views available from nearly every part of the indoors. The house foundation sits 34 feet above the average water height of the river and about 20 feet from the edge of a sloping bank. Most views from indoors give the feel of being on a large house boat without the rocking feeling.
Great Room: Vaulted, cathedral ceiling with multiple ceiling fans keep the large and airy great room very comfortable in the heat of the summer. Unique hanging fire place for evening gatherings. Large table for eating or playing games and separate eating area for kids if desired. Large sectional couch with reclining sections in front of 60” smart-TV.
Sun Room: This is a separate area attached to great room and closest to riverside windows with tables and chairs for eating or sipping coffee or other drinks while watching the multiple birds, turtles, otters, fish, or occasional rowers, fishing folk or other boaters. There is also a fold-out twin bed in this space.
Master Suite: This is a very large and carpeted space with very comfortable King-sized bed and 3” mattress topper and high-quality sheets. A separate section with a 3-person couch for tranquil viewing through sun-drenched windows. Ceiling fans galore. The master bath has 2-person jetted tub and a very large, custom-tiled, dual headed shower. Large walk-in closet spaces for two with child-size foam mattress available in case a child needs to sleep close to care-givers.
Second Bedroom: There are two-double beds located on opposite end of home from Master Suite with a full-bathroom available nearby.
Pool: The large, in-ground, salt-water pool provides water pleasures both day and night with flood-lights, patio furniture, various inflatables, propane grill and kayaks and games all yours to enjoy with not extra costs.
The boat dock is for your use and the river is safe and calm for fishing, boating, water-skiing, kayaking, jet-ski’s, Stand Up Paddle boarding, and even swimming if desired. Kayaks (1-two person, 1-single adult, 2-youth size), paddles and life vests are there for you to use. You can bring your own boat, Jet Ski, sail boat or SUP board to launch from dock. Always be aware that conditions can change rather drastically and abruptly as various storms pass through.
There is a large, covered deck space next to pool and below upstairs dwelling for shade or shelter from rain. Outdoor fun can continue until storms pass.
Golf driving deck situated on edge of river bank close to pool for practicing your swing, doing exercise or yoga, or just sitting. Outdoor smokeless, fire-pit with wood and skewers are for your use. Large outside acreage is landscaped with grass, fruit trees (peach, fig and plum)and other beautiful decorative trees and bushes. Pest control treatments done quarterly to help control the abundant bug population of the South.
River Suite Unit: There is a 2-room apartment in lower section of home which is completely divided and separate from upstairs space. The internal spiral stairway is locked with deadbolt and can be opened in the event that entire house is desired for rental. You can inquire with KJ if you’re interested in renting the entire house. This unit has separate entry door, driveway and parking. If occupied by a single professional guest at time of your vacation stay, they will NOT utilize any amenities. Pool, dock, grill, kayaks, etc. are all reserved for upstairs guests. Most upstairs guests never see or hear the River Suite guest as all are full-time workers renting for longer term stays.
