Positive: The location was excellent, with the train statin only 2 minutes walk away and the high street (with a Tescos, Sainsbury's, lots of small shops and cafes) 1 minute walk away. The flat was spacious, tastefully decorated, modern and well stocked with all the appliances you need, as well as tea, coffe and sugar. I would recommend this flat to anyone wanting to stay in the area. However, there are a lot of stairs to get to the flat, so you should bear that in mind.
Negative: I feel that to give this property a higher rating, it would need either tiles, wood or laminate throughout, as carpet is harder to clean and maintain. There is also a need for more surfaces in the bedrooms and bathroom. For example, in the bathroom, there was nowhere to place toiletries, apart from a small window sill in the bath which just about fitted our shower products. This meant there was nowhere to put our toothbrushes, toothpaste, face washes etc. The simple addition of a shelf unit or bathroom cabinet would rectify this easily. In the bedroom, the only surface was an extremely small, narrow table. We had to bring chairs into the bedrooms just to have space for our devices, chargers, make-up, jewellery, hairbrushes and other odds and ends. The bedrooms are large enough to replace the existing decorative table with a more useful tallboy or chest of drawers. As summers are getting increasingly warmer, I suggest you install airconditioning, or at the very least, more fans - maybe ceiling fans? We found that the carpet and the lack of AC meant that the flat was uncomfortably warm most of the time.
