True and complete oceanfront condo with a lanai (balcony) that almost hangs over the beach. See the ponds below where the turtle and the eels want to come and feed. Let the sounds of the sea make you sleep after a day of sightseeing or relaxation. Both the bedroom and living room face the sea, where you can see dolphins all year round and whales in season.

Hale Kona Kai is an intimate, absolute oceanfront complex of 39 one-bedroom condominiums. Located at the edge of Kona Town, it is off the main road providing for quiet, ocean-view relaxation from every unit. Located just south of Royal Kona Resort, excellent dining at Don the Beachcomber and other restaurants are a bit further into Kona Town. You will find the white sand of Honl's Beach less than a quarter-mile to the south and the Kona Farmer's Market just a half-mile to the north.
The complex offers an elevator that provides convenient access for all. On the ocean side, you'll find a heated saltwater swimming pool and a grill on the south end of the complex. Each floor has coin-operated washers and dryers for your use. Each condo does not have its own washer/dryer.
Each unit includes designated parking, safe WIFI, & cable TV. Both units, like Lanais, are non-smoking and Hale Kona Kai is non-smoking.

Summary: The location and view were absolutely stunning! I loved listening to the waves every night. I would definitely come back again. There were two problems. 1) The listing said it had air conditioning. This was not true. There was no central air. There was what looked like a portable air conditioning unit in the closet but there was no mention of this in the listing. I picked this unit because it stated they had ac.2) The shower doors were stuck and could not be moved. If you are larger than a size 10 you could not fit into the shower. The first day we were there we notified Casago of these issues but no one called us back. Despite these issues we would definitely pick this place again as the location and view cannot be beat.
